The Public Utilities Board (PUB) is undertaking a flood protection initiative to widen and deepen the stretch of Bukit Timah Canal from Rifle Range Road to Jalan Kampong Chantek, increasing the canal's rainwater capacity. The upgrade addresses flash flood risk in the Bukit Timah area, which is prone to overflow after heavy and intense rain.
Supply Bay supplied round aluminium perforated metal panels as custom perforated metal screens for bridge railings and privacy screens along the canal. The perforation pattern provides visibility and ventilation while maintaining a secure barrier, suited to pedestrian bridges, canal crossings, and public walkways. The material's corrosion resistance and low-maintenance profile support the project's requirements for long-term outdoor performance, while its adaptability to custom perforation specifications addresses both structural integrity and visual appeal on a public infrastructure project.
